About Pete Perry — Tarot Reader of 20 Years
The Way of Tarot
I've been reading tarot professionally for over 20 years. After all that time, I've learned something important: the cards don't live your life for you. They show you where you stand.
What I Believe
Free will, or in other words, magicks — both are about conscious choice and focused intention. You are not powerless.
But destiny is also real. Some events are pre-written. Some doors won't open no matter what you do. And some will open when the time is right.
What some call karma is simply cause and effect. It's the thread connecting your choices to their outcomes, fixed events to your reactions, and your reactions to further events. Karma is not punishment. It's a lesson to be learned. An echo of your own past actions returning so you can finally see them clearly.
Every event sets something in motion. Your reaction to that event — your free will — sets something else in motion. The question is not whether you'll face consequences. You will. The question is: what will you learn? And what will you set in motion with your response?
So Where's the Freedom?
In your reaction. Always in your reaction.
You don't always choose what happens to you. But you always choose how you respond. That small space — between event and reaction — is where you decide who you become. You are always free to choose, and you also have a personality that inclines you in certain directions yet refuses to take certain actions. The cards help you see the bigger picture.
Thanks for stopping by. The blog has plenty more — card meanings, reflections, and honest talk about how tarot actually works.
